YR-M.O.S.T Youth Aide
About The Position
The Youth Aide supports the Year-Round M.O.S.T. program as assigned and reports to the supervisor of the assigned area. The role helps create a safe, fun environment where members can learn and grow. The aide supports academic, education and career, health, and physical education activities; helps staff and instructors; encourages member participation; and assists with maintaining program materials, equipment, and appropriate conduct. This position involves working with members in an informal environment, monitoring their participation, and helping promote academic and social goals. The work takes place indoors and outdoors, and some local travel may be required. Physical activities include walking, standing, talking, and hearing for much of the workday, as well as occasional sitting, bending, typing, and lifting or moving items up to 20 pounds. - Ability to work in both inside and outside environmental conditions.

Responsibilities
- Stimulate interest and participation in assigned areas such as reading, math, nutrition, and fitness.
- Help maintain classroom materials and fitness equipment.
- Assist instructors, coordinators, classroom teachers, or fitness instructors as assigned.
- Help mobilize members to attend or participate in programs.
- Help maintain discipline and adherence to Boys & Girls Clubs rules.
- Promote a positive atmosphere that supports members' long-term academic and social goals.
- Assist with collecting and tabulating.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Monitor members as they participate and help address or de-escalate crises.
