About The Position

Svetness Corp is hiring a Yoga Instructor to teach a weekly class at a luxury apartment building on Freedom Drive in downtown Reston, Virginia. The class is held every Monday from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. The instructor will guide students through yoga postures and breathing exercises, provide direction on proper movement, and lead a well-paced sequence suited to mixed experience levels. The instructor will model techniques, offer modifications and adjustments, monitor safety, and foster a welcoming and inclusive environment.

Requirements

Certificate of completion from a 200-hour yoga teacher training program.
Excellent oral communication skills.
Professionalism and strong interpersonal skills.
Ability to lead students for a maximum of one hour at a time.
Ability to start class promptly on time.

Responsibilities

Guide students through a variety of yoga postures and breathing exercises.
Provide direction to help students perform movements properly.
Design and deliver well-paced yoga sequences for mixed experience levels.
Demonstrate postures and breathing patterns clearly from the front of the room.
Offer safe adjustments, props, and easier or more challenging variations for beginners, seniors, or injured participants.
Monitor room temperature, floor safety, equipment readiness, and participant form to help prevent strain.
Create a welcoming, calm, and inclusive environment that encourages member retention.
Start class promptly and lead students for no more than one hour at a time.
