About The Position

Young Life's year-long intern programs are designed for individuals seeking practical work experience and skills, exploring a potential career with Young Life, or desiring to live and grow in a Christ-centered community. Interns contribute to Young Life's ministry by working in various departments, including Maintenance, Landscaping, Retail, Food Service, Housekeeping, Administration, and Guest Services. A willingness to fundraise a portion of the salary is a requirement. As a full-time employee, interns are eligible for medical, dental, and vision benefits. Interns are expected to be committed to Christ, capable of leading others, serving with excellence, and eager to grow in their relationship with Christ. They will serve Christ, kids, and each other, developing leadership skills, Christ-like relationships, and enjoying the camp environment.

Believe in the mission of Young Life
Seeking the Lord’s calling in their lives
Teachable
Displayed qualities of faithfulness in their lives
Seeking God’s leading
Sincere hunger to grow in an intimate, abiding relationship with Jesus
At least 2 years out of high school or are at least 20 years of age
Willing to commit to full term of the internship program, as well as the duties and expectations
Must profess a belief in Jesus Christ as their personal Savior and Lord
Must subscribe to the statements and policies required of all Young Life staff, including the Young Life Statement of Faith
Be ready, willing and able to fulfill ministry functions
Refrain from conduct and statements that detract from the biblical standards taught and supported by Young Life
Abide by all policies and practices of Young Life

Past experience on summer staff or work crew at a Young Life camp, or some other camping ministry
