Requirements
- Ability to communicate effectively and apply commonsense to carry out detailed written and/or verbal instructions.
- Basic adding, subtracting, multiplication and division skills with or without using a calculator.
- Computer skills and or computer literate.
- Must be detail oriented with the ability to maintain accuracy while working in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to solve problems involving a few concrete variables.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to pass operator exam and drive powered industrial equipment.
Nice To Haves
- Background in Plumbing/Waterworks industry is desirable.
Responsibilities
- Meet or exceed customer expectations by providing outstanding service and creating a positive customer experience.
- Follow all company SOPs, policies, and safety procedures.
- Understand yard layout, bin location systems, and the various products stocked by the company.
- Assist customers with locating and loading yard materials.
- Accurately gather, package, and stage materials for shipment and delivery.
- Complete all shipping paperwork accurately and efficiently.
- Handle materials and products with care to prevent damage.
- Safely operate all material handling equipment while adhering to company safety standards and regulations.
- Assist with stocking racks and shelves as needed.
- Maintain assigned hilo/forklift equipment in good working condition.
- Support the Receiving department as needed.
- Assist with general yard upkeep, organization, and housekeeping.
- Promote and maintain a safe working environment.
- Load and unload flatbed trailers of various sizes safely and efficiently.
