About The Position

The Doe Run Company is seeking a Yard Truck Driver to safely operate a jockey truck to move trailers and a haul truck to move material, while supporting bag house and scrubber operations. This rotating position is located at the Buick Resource Recycling Facility in Boss, Missouri. The role includes operating and inspecting mobile equipment, safely positioning and loading trailers, supporting bag house and scrubber operators, and performing housekeeping and basic equipment maintenance. Work must be completed in accordance with environmental, health, and safety policies, procedures, and best practices. The position involves regularly wearing personal protective equipment and working near moving mechanical parts and moderate noise. Employees are frequently exposed to outdoor weather and may occasionally work in confined spaces, at heights of four feet or more with fall protection, and in wet, humid, vibrating, or extremely hot conditions. The work involves regular lifting up to 50 pounds and occasional lifting up to 75 pounds. Job offers are contingent on successful completion and clearance of a post-offer drug screen, physical, and background check. The role may also require a motor vehicle record review and ATF explosives possessor clearance.

Requirements

Minimum of one year of experience with mobile equipment.
Basic computer skills, including knowledge of Microsoft Office programs and PLC.
Ability to learn plant layout.
Knowledge of environmental rules and regulations regarding material handling and storage.
Ability to regularly lift up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift up to 75 pounds.
Ability to perform the physical activities and meet the vision and coordination demands described for the position.
Successful completion and clearance of a post-offer drug screen, physical, and background check; a motor vehicle record review and ATF explosives possessor clearance may also be required.

Responsibilities

Operate jockey and haul trucks.
Operate the air brake system.
Safely line trailers.
Conduct inspections to monitor proper loading procedures.
Safely load trailers and evenly distribute materials so trucks travel properly.
Serve as backup for bag house and scrubber operators.
Conduct housekeeping and cleaning tasks.
Perform pre-shift safety inspections on mobile equipment and maintenance tasks such as tightening, lubricating, and cleaning.
Follow EHS policies, procedures, and best practices to complete tasks safely and in an environmentally compliant manner.
Support and assist peers in working safely and compliantly.
Report unsafe acts or conditions, incidents, and deviations.
Provide feedback to support continuous improvement in EHS performance.
Perform other duties as assigned.
