About The Position

Ryder is hiring a Class A CDL Truck Driver for yard work in Gaylord, Minnesota. This is a local, home-daily position involving no-touch freight and maneuvering tractor trailers on the yard and within an area on public roads. The role requires safe operation, compliance with safety and Department of Transportation regulations, ongoing training, and customer service. The schedule is an alternating four-day/three-day workweek with a 6:00 p.m. start time. Pay is $31.00 per hour for the PM shift, with weekly pay and stated annual earnings of $69,000 or more. A $3,000 loyalty bonus is offered. Drivers operate trucks that are 36 months old or newer. Ryder provides 24/7 roadside maintenance and access to company fueling at more than 800 maintenance facilities nationwide. Ryder reimburses the cost of and provides training for endorsements. A tanker endorsement is required within 30–60 days of hire, and backing experience is required. Requirements

Be at least 21 years of age.
Pass a Ryder drug test.
Pass a Ryder background and motor vehicle check, including drug and alcohol verification from previous employers for the last three years.
Pass a DOT physical and Ryder road test.
Provide the appropriate CDL and endorsements for the position.
Have verifiable Class A experience in a tractor trailer or comparable vehicle: 9 months within the past 3 years, or 2 years within the last 5 years, or 5 years within the last 10 years.
Be able to follow written and/or oral instructions.
Be able to read, interpret, and apply laws, rules, regulations, policies, and/or procedures.
Have backing experience.
Obtain a tanker endorsement within 30–60 days of hire.
Some positions may require additional employment and education verification, motor vehicle records checks and road tests, and/or customer badging or background requirements.

Responsibilities

Safely handle and maneuver tractor trailers on the yard and within an area on public roads.
Comply with safety requirements and DOT regulations, participate in continuous training, and provide customer service.
Ensure compliance with applicable federal and state laws, regulations, agency rules, standards, and guidelines.
Detect and eliminate or minimize safety hazards.
Maintain accurate records and logs.
Maintain accurate move and yard inventory records.
Perform other tasks as assigned.
