About The Position

Ryder is hiring a Class A CDL Truck Driver for yard work in Gaylord, Minnesota. This role primarily involves safely handling and maneuvering tractor trailers on the yard and within an area on public roads. The route is local, with drivers home daily, and freight handling is no-touch yard work. The PM shift pays $31.00 per hour, with a stated annual earning figure of $69K+ and a $3,000 loyalty bonus. The schedule is an alternating 4-day/3-day workweek with a 6:00 pm start time. Drivers must obtain a tanker endorsement within 30–60 days of hire, and backing experience is required. Ryder states that trucks are 36 months old or newer and provides 24/7 roadside maintenance. The company reimburses endorsement costs and provides training. Requirements

Be at least 21 years of age.
Pass a Ryder drug test.
Pass a Ryder background and motor vehicle check, including drug and alcohol verification from previous employers for the last three years.
Pass a DOT physical.
Pass a Ryder road test.
Provide the appropriate CDL and endorsements for the position.
Have Class A verifiable experience in a tractor trailer or comparable vehicle: 9 months within the past 3 years, or 2 years within the last 5 years, or 5 years within the last 10 years.
Be able to follow written and/or oral instructions.
Be able to read, interpret, and apply laws, rules, regulations, policies, and/or procedures.
Have backing experience.
Obtain a tanker endorsement within 30–60 days of hire.

Responsibilities

Safely handle and maneuver tractor trailers on the yard and within an area on public roads.
Comply with safety and DOT regulations, participate in continuous training, and provide customer service.
Ensure compliance with applicable federal and state laws, regulations, agency rules, standards, and guidelines.
Detect and eliminate or minimize safety hazards.
Maintain accurate records and logs.
Maintain accurate move and yard inventory records.
Perform other tasks as assigned.
