About The Position

Under the direction of the General Manager, Assistant General Manager, and/or Yard Manager, the Yard Supervisor oversees the facility’s day-to-day yard operations and supports yard staff in providing an exceptional customer service experience. The role includes supervising staff and operational tasks, maintaining the yard and its equipment, and supporting facility safety, security, and productivity. Occasional overtime and travel as needed may be required.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of supervisory or equivalent experience.
• High school diploma.
• Basic knowledge of automotive mechanics.
• Excellent customer service skills and attitude.
• Computer proficiency, including MS Suite experience.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to direct and train others effectively as a team member.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to delegate and prioritize.
• Ability to work independently or in a team environment.
• Fluent ability to read and write in English.
• Ability to coach, mentor, and train staff.
• Ability to differentiate color.
• Inventory management skills.
• Valid driver's license.

Nice To Haves

• Some college education or more preferred.
• Bilingual skills are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Complete daily, weekly, and monthly audits.
• Schedule staff and manage employee time and attendance.
• Assist with security and loss prevention.
• Monitor productivity and maintain a clean work environment.
• Enforce safety awareness and company policies and procedures.
• Oversee vehicle loading.
• Handle employee and customer service issues.
• Maintain supply inventory and purchase supplies.
• Perform the job tasks of the positions supervised.
• Maintain confidential information and documentation.
• Address mechanical issues present on the lots.
• Manage the fleet and preventive maintenance.
• Monitor and maintain the yard fence.
• Perform facility and yard maintenance.
• Answer alarm calls as needed.
