About The Position

A Yard Loader safely and accurately loads and unloads deliveries made to and received by ADS. The role requires safe and proper vehicle operation and interaction with company and non-company drivers and will-call customers, while providing excellent customer service. The position requires flexibility to work 40 or more hours per week and weekends as required. Yard Loaders report directly to the Yard Supervisor and/or Yard Manager.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Promote a culture of safety by immediately communicating unsafe conditions, acts, or injuries.
• Maintain a safe working environment and consistently use personal protective equipment.
• Safely operate forklifts and perform preventative maintenance on forklifts and other machines in the plant.
• Conduct final visual inspections and label finished goods to ensure quality.
• Provide good customer service when loading and unloading deliveries while minimizing errors.
• Maintain proper product rotation and track inventory levels.
• Learn and stay current on pipe specifications and packaging requirements.
• Support continuous improvement in processes and facility housekeeping.
• Build and maintain job skills and additional earning potential through company training programs.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
