About The Position

Rogers Group, Inc. is hiring a Yard Loader Operator for Arch Materials, an underground limestone mine/quarry in Batavia, Ohio. The operator will safely load customer trucks with crushed stone, gravel, sand, and other materials as directed, provide professional customer service, and support quarry operations. The role requires an uncompromising commitment to safety and compliance with MSHA and company safety policies. The operator will inspect equipment, conduct routine maintenance checks, report mechanical issues, follow safe loading practices, complete sales and scale documentation, and keep stockpiles organized and accessible. Other duties or support in other areas may be assigned by the supervisor.

This is a full-time, day-shift position. Starting wages are $25 per hour, with overall compensation determined by experience and skill set. The position requires experience operating heavy equipment, the ability to perform physical tasks and equipment inspections, and flexibility to work overtime and weekends when necessary. Applicants must pass a pre-employment drug screening.

Requirements

• Be dedicated to operating safely at all times.
• Be willing to perform any task required at the quarry.
• Be able to identify equipment maintenance issues and alert management.
• Be able to complete pre-operation inspection paperwork.
• Be able to repeatedly climb ladders or stairs to access or dismount equipment.
• Be able to sit, stand, bend, or stoop for extended periods.
• Be able to shovel rock and lift buckets or equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Have experience operating heavy equipment.
• Be flexible to work overtime and weekends when necessary.
• Have a team-player attitude.
• Pass a pre-employment drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Provide friendly, professional, and thorough customer service.
• Work safely and follow all MSHA and company safety policies.
• Safely operate a front-end loader to load customer trucks with crushed stone, gravel, sand, and other materials as directed by management.
• Perform daily equipment inspections and routine maintenance checks, and promptly report mechanical issues.
• Follow load limits, account for material weights, and use safe loading practices.
• Complete sales tickets, load sheets, or scale tickets according to company processes.
• Maintain organized stockpiles and ensure materials are clearly marked and accessible.
• Perform other assigned duties or assist in other areas as necessary.
