About The Position

A Yard Loader safely and accurately loads and unloads deliveries received and made by Advanced Drainage Systems (ADS). The role requires safe and proper vehicle operation and interaction with company and non-company drivers and will-call customers, with an emphasis on excellent customer service. The position requires flexibility to work 40 or more hours per week and weekends as required. Yard Loaders report directly to the Yard Supervisor and/or Yard Manager.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Communicate unsafe conditions, acts, or injuries immediately and contribute to a culture of safety.
• Maintain a safe work environment, including consistent use of personal protective equipment.
• Safely operate forklifts and conduct preventive maintenance on forklifts and other plant machines.
• Conduct final visual inspections and label finished goods to ensure quality.
• Provide good customer service when loading and unloading deliveries while minimizing errors.
• Ensure proper product rotation and track inventory levels.
• Learn and stay current on pipe specifications and packaging requirements.
• Practice continuous improvement in processes and facility housekeeping.
• Build and maintain job skills and additional earning potential through company training programs.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
