About The Position

Scott Waste is hiring a Yard Attendant to join the team in Bowling Green! Our priority is to make sure we hire safe laborers that care about the safety of our customers and team members. As a yard laborer with us the minimum responsibilities are: Checking trucks in and directing traffic at site as necessary. Manual labor including paper picking, keeping the transfer station clean and presentable. Perform yard work including cutting weeds. Climbing and tarping train cars. Perform general maintenance and repairs including painting and janitorial work. Operating light equipment such as skid steers. Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned. Promoting continuous improvement of workplace safety and environmental practices. Interacting with customers and Waste Connections employees to determine safe and environmentally sound solutions to service issues.

Requirements

One year of stable employment history in a similar environment.
Ability to lift at least 75lbs and climb.
Ability to work schedule in all weather conditions.
Ability to read, understand, follow, and enforce safety procedures.
