About The Position
We are seeking a reliable, hands-on Class A Yard Jockey with a Class A license and experienced with maneuvering large trucks across the Baltimore, MD Plant. This is a full-time permanent role of 40-50 hours per week, offering job stability as an essential service to healthcare. The position is non-seasonal and stable, with consistent work hours on a Graveyard 3rd Shift (5PM to 5AM), Monday through Friday. A $3,000 sign-on bonus is offered after successfully completing the probation period. The company is a healthcare service provider focused on safety systems and regulated waste collections for hospitals and other healthcare customers, emphasizing quality and safety-focused medical waste management services.
Requirements
- Class A license with a clean driving record and VALID DOT MEDICAL CARD
- Minimum 3 years experience operating 26 foot trucks and trailers up to 53 foot
- Passing our 7 Year FADV review in the Drug & Alcohol Clearinghouse
- Experience with pre-trip and post-trip vehicle evaluations
- Experience with DOT compliance, logging hours, roadside inspections
- Can-do attitude with a strong customer focus
- Proven longevity in past employment
- TOUCH FREIGHT EXPERIENCE!!!
Responsibilities
- Moving trailers and equipment throughout the yard using a yard truck
- Position trailers accurately for efficient loading and unloading
- Load and unload trailers in support of warehouse operations
- Perform daily safety inspections on yard trucks and equipment
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe yard
- Communicate with yard and warehouse teams to ensure efficient operations
- Safely operate straight trucks and tractor trailers (26’–53’)
- Heavy lifting REQUIRED!!
