About The Position

Curtis Lumber is seeking a motivated Yard Foreman to join their team. This role requires knowledge of building materials and a strong leadership background. The Yard Foreman will be responsible for monitoring daily activities, delegating tasks, and developing employee performance. This is a full-time position with a set schedule of 40+ hours per week, working outdoors year-round.

Requirements

• Knowledge on Building Material Products
• Strong background in leadership
• 2 years forklift experience
• Must be able to lift 50-80lbs regularly

Responsibilities

• Monitor employee’s daily activity and delegate or assign work as appropriate
• Challenge and develop employees’ performance, provide feedback, and hold direct reports accountable for their goals and job responsibilities
• Motivate employees and offer opportunity and reward appropriately
• Make recommendations to Manager regarding efforts to control employee turnover
• Make recommendations to Manager regarding employee performance for coaching, review, and disciplinary efforts
