About The Position

The Yard Driver role plays a crucial part in delivering and picking up parts in the Spirit shop and Spirit Distribution Center (SDC). The work includes delivering standard and emergent parts, scanning items to locations, managing consignee keys, handling and delivering product, coordinating with internal and external teams, and following established procedures and standards. The listed responsibilities describe the general nature of the work and are not exhaustive.

Responsibilities

• Deliver standard and emergent orders to designated locations and Shipping.
• Pick up production parts for receiving (Milk Run).
• Secure loads properly and protect parts.
• Pick up empty kit boxes.
• Load trailers for next-day deliveries.
• Maintain 5S staging areas.
• Maintain a valid driver’s license.
• Interface with Customer PCAs and mechanics, warehouse personnel, and X-dock employees.
• Transport employees between the warehouse and shops.
• Operate appropriate equipment for loading and deliveries.
• Notify the Lead or Supervisor of problems encountered during operations.
• Use electronic equipment to provide proof of delivery and/or replenish stock.
