About The Position

This position is responsible for entry level skilled general labor while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures. The Yard Driver Operator is accountable for coordinating trailer and tanker traffic in the receiving yard. They maintain a log of product loads and report trailer problems to their supervisor and the truck shop. This role requires legible handwriting and computer experience is preferred. The successful candidate must be willing to work on their feet for a period of 12 hours and complete all required training for the job. This position will be exposed to possible warm or cold temperatures, wet, humid or dusty conditions. The role requires walking, bending, standing, and lifting up to 70 pounds on a frequent basis.

Requirements

Must have legible handwriting.
Must be willing to work on your feet for a period of 12 hours.
Must be willing to complete all required training for the job.
Must have 3 months of work history with one employer listed on the application.
Must have a valid driver’s license (Motor Vehicle Record will be reviewed).
NO DUI/DWIs in the last 12 months.
At least 18 years of age.
Willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation.
The employee is frequently exposed to wet and/or humid conditions; moving mechanical parts; high, precarious places; outside weather conditions; risk of electrical shock; and vibration.
The employee is occasionally exposed to toxic or caustic chemicals and extreme heat.
The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
