About The Position

DHL Supply Chain is hiring a Non-DOT Yard Driver for their Mark IV location. This role is crucial in maintaining the efficient and safe movement of trailers and containers within the yard. The driver will operate yard trucks and other equipment, perform routine inspections, and ensure compliance with safety standards. Requirements

• Minimum of one-year verifiable experience driving, switching or commercial tractor.
• High School Diploma or Equivalent

Responsibilities

• Move trailers and containers around the yard in a safe and efficient manner.
• Operate yard trucks, forklifts, or other equipment to facilitate the movement of freight.
• Perform routine inspections of trailers and equipment to ensure safety and compliance with company standards.
• Drive switching equipment, tractors, and straight trucks to transport goods or equipment to and from designated locations.
• Make decisions in sequencing schedules to maintain efficient loading and unloading operations.
• Load and unload trailers and verify product count.
• Maintain a clean and safe docking area and report any maintenance or safety issues to supervision.
• Refuel vehicles on site and document locations and condition of equipment.
• Maintain safe and efficient dock operation by switching trailers and equipment to and from docks.
• Maintain equipment fuel levels and refuel equipment during appropriate times.
• Verify the count and condition of product when loading and unloading trucks. Report overages, shortages, and damages.
• Perform daily yard checks.
• Properly secure loads, ensuring loads are within local, state and federal guidelines.
• Prepare and maintain accurate records and/or logs as required by policies and procedures.
• Inspect truck equipment and supplies such as tires, lights, brakes, fuel, oil, and water. Notify supervision of current or anticipated repair needs.
• Comply with all company policies, procedures, and guidelines.
