About The Position

High Concrete is seeking a Yard person/Material Handler to join their team in Denver, PA. This role is responsible for assisting in the safe handling of products from production areas to yard storage and ensuring a smooth flow of products from storage to trailers for shipment. The company has over 75 years of experience and is a leader in precast concrete parking structures and wall panels.

Requirements

• Ability to work outdoors year round
• Valid driver’s license is required.
• Ability to follow instructions and work independently
• Ability to lift up to 50lbs

Nice To Haves

• Certified equipment operator a plus
• Travel lift and/or tow motor a plus

Responsibilities

• Assist in performing duties to ensure the proper and safe handling of products from the production areas to yard storage.
• Ensure a smooth and safe flow of products from the storage areas onto trailers for shipments to job sites.
• Assist in hooking up products for loading and unloading.
• Setting blocks, evaluating pieces with wood blocks.
• Use of hand signals to escort equipment operators for setting, lifting or maneuvering production pieces during loading/unloading process.
• Operate electronic hand held scanners for verification of production pieces during storage process.
• Gather shims, steel blocks, homosote, rack pins, and wood blocking used for the days production at the start of the shift.
