About The Position

Agri Beef, a family-owned and operated company founded in 1968, is a vertically integrated beef producer with operations throughout Idaho and Washington. They are committed to sustainability, total quality, animal well-being, and responsibility to employees, the community, and the industry. DH Feeders in Eltopia, WA is seeking a Yard Crew team member to provide general upkeep and cleanliness on the feedyard premises. This role is crucial for ensuring the cattle are cared for properly and given a healthy, comfortable environment.

Requirements

Ability to work in inclement weather conditions as the job is located outdoors
Ability to read a limited number of two- and three-syllable words and to recognize similarities and differences between words and between series of numbers
Ability to print and speak simple sentences
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions
Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations

Nice To Haves

Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10’s and 100’s is helpful
Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance

Responsibilities

Build fences
Repair and maintain feedbunks
Install and repair water lines and water tanks
Complete farm maintenance and general building repairs
Maintain a positive attendance record by demonstrating consistent and punctual attendance on a regular basis
Perform other related duties as assigned
