About The Position
DH Feeders in Eltopia, WA is seeking a Yard Crew team member. As a member of the yard maintenance crew, you will be expected to provide general upkeep and cleanliness on the feedyard premises.
Requirements
- Ability to work in inclement weather conditions as the job is located outdoors
- Ability to read a limited number of two- and three-syllable words and to recognize similarities and differences between words and between series of numbers
- Ability to print and speak simple sentences
- Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10’s and 100’s is helpful
- Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions
- Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations
Nice To Haves
- Welding and heavy equipment experience
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred OR minimum of one month of related experience and/or training
Responsibilities
- Build fences
- Repair and maintain feedbunks
- Install and repair water lines and water tanks
- Complete farm maintenance and general building repairs
- Maintain a positive attendance record by demonstrating consistent and punctual attendance on a regular basis
- Perform other related duties as assigned
