This is a limited-time seasonal position, potentially ending in January 2027 or earlier, and is not available to current Target team members. The Seasonal Transportation Yard Coordinator executes daily trailer movement within Target Distribution Center yards and supports safe, accurate, and efficient yard operations. The role promotes a safety-first culture by working with carriers to ensure safety expectations are followed, identifying unsafe acts, and addressing them promptly. It also maintains accurate trailer statuses in the yard management system and ensures trailers are admitted according to current best practices. The coordinator communicates with Distribution Center executives about trailer needs, movements, and progress; monitors trailer releases to support scheduled store deliveries; and maintains accountability for Target equipment. Responsibilities include conducting trailer inventories and ensuring equipment is available for preventive maintenance checks. The role also works cross-functionally with First Mile Transportation to monitor trailer pools and freight-flow volatility and keep yards within operational thresholds and safe. The stated schedule is Wednesday 4 p.m.–11 p.m. and Thursday, Friday, and Saturday 12 p.m.–11 p.m. Hourly pay is $20.82–$37.45, with a possible shift differential of $2.00–$3.50 per hour based on eligibility. Pay may vary based on factors including labor markets and, in some cases, education, work experience, and certifications. Eligible team members may receive benefits, which may include medical, vision, dental, and life insurance, 401(k), employee discount, short- and long-term disability, paid sick leave, paid national holidays, and paid vacation. Job duties may change at any time due to business needs.
