The X-ray Technologist is responsible for obtaining quality x-rays using correct position and radiation exposure, implementing safety procedures, and assisting physicians and nurses with patient care. This role also involves documenting x-rays, maintaining records, ensuring patient safety with equipment, and utilizing specific reporting tools and the medical records system. The technologist will also be responsible for cleaning the work area, restocking supplies, attending training, and supervising externs and assistants. Availability to assist as needed, including during breaks and mealtimes, and checking communications are also key aspects of the position.
