About The Position

This position requires a graduate of a program for Radiologic Technologist who is ARRT registered or eligible and holds an Iowa licensure (Permit to Practice). The role involves working Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from 07:00 to 19:00. The technologist must be registered to take certification boards in at least one specialty area within six months of completing classes and/or acceptable clinical hours and exams. Previous hospital experience is preferred. A strong understanding of RIS and PACS computer systems is necessary, along with technical skills for all assigned duties. The role also requires a willingness to complete further radiographic education or certification as needed by the department, and to demonstrate leadership and effective communication skills.

Requirements

Graduate of a program for Radiologic Technologist.
ARRT registered or eligible.
Iowa licensure (Permit to Practice).
Must be registered to take certification boards in at least one specialty area within six months of completion of classes and/or acceptable clinical hours and exams.
Current American Heart Association (AHA) Heart Code BLS required. New employees certify within three (3) months after hire date.
Ability to read and communicate effectively in English.
High degree of empathetic listening, tact and kindness toward others.
Ability to communicate well verbally.
Must work effectively as a member of a team.
Strong RIS and PACS computer knowledge.
Technical skills associated with duties listed within this job description.
Must be competent in all assigned areas.
