Operate radiographic equipment to produce clinical diagnostic x-ray images as directed by physicians, and perform routine diagnostic procedures according to established standards and practices. It also includes using immobilization and protective devices, performing portable x-rays in various hospital areas, and adhering to sterile techniques and universal precautions. The position requires competence in fluoroscopy procedures (Barium enemas, Upper GI studies, Video Swallows, ERCP, Bronchoscopies), providing x-ray support during surgery in the Operating Room, and rapidly responding to trauma patients. Experience with higher-tech procedures like myelograms, arthrograms, and hysteros is also mentioned, along with providing radiographic support to the Forensic department.
