About The Position

N2S Healthcare is seeking an X-Ray Tech (Radiology Tech) for a permanent position in Pensacola, FL. This role involves performing a full range of General Radiology procedures in a digital/PACS environment, including portables, fluoroscopy, operating room, trauma, contrast studies, and DEXA bone densitometry. The technologist will operate various x-ray equipment in hospital/trauma and outpatient settings, confirm orders and patient identification, enter exams in Meditech, and ensure image quality. Responsibilities include maintaining low radiation exposure, confirming patient demographics and lead markers, processing images, and adhering to special exam instructions. The role also requires adaptability to schedule changes, including call shifts and call backs for procedures and holidays.

Requirements

• 1 year of RECENT (WITHIN THE LAST YEAR OR TWO) ACUTE CARE RAD TECH EXPERIENCE.
• Graduate of ARRT Accredited Program and current ARRT registry required.
• Current ARRT registry required.
• Florida Certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Performs full range of General Radiology procedures including but not limited to: Portables, fluoroscopy, operating room, trauma, contrast studies and DEXA bone densitometry in a digital/PACS environment.
• Responsible for operating a variety of x-ray equipment in both a hospital/trauma and outpatient setting.
• Responsible for confirming order/correct patient/correct exam and entering exam in Meditech.
• Must obtain quality image including both technical and positional factors.
• Responsible for maintaining exposures to ionizing radiation as low as reasonably achievable.
• Responsible for confirming patient demographics and lead markers prior to processing/QA and releasing image and assuring all "Stat” procedures or special exam instructions are completed appropriately.
• Adapts to schedule changes including call shifts and call back for procedures/holidays.
