About The Position
Precision Imaging Centers is seeking a PRN Radiologic Technologist (X-Ray) to join our growing team at our Mandarin location in Jacksonville, Florida. We’re looking for a dependable, patient-focused technologist with a positive attitude, strong work ethic, and a genuine desire to provide an exceptional experience for every patient. Requirements
- ARRT(R) certification required
- Current Florida Radiologic Technologist license
- Current BLS certification
- High School Diploma or GED
- At least 1 year of experience in a clinical setting preferred
- Strong communication, organization, and patient care skills
Nice To Haves
- Cross-training opportunities in modalities such as CT, MRI, or Mammography
Responsibilities
- Obtain and review relevant patient medical history prior to exams
- Review and correctly interpret physicians’ imaging orders
- Explain procedures to patients to reduce anxiety and encourage cooperation
- Properly position patients to obtain optimal diagnostic images
- Set appropriate technical parameters and safely operate X-ray equipment
- Evaluate images for technical quality and determine when additional images may be necessary
- Assist radiologists with procedures such as arthrograms
- Maintain a safe, clean, and patient-focused imaging environment
- Support other modalities and departments as needed
- Restock supplies and maintain organized exam areas
- Routinely clean and sanitize exam rooms and patient areas
