About The Position

SimonMed Imaging is hiring an X-Ray/CT Technologist to perform CT and X-ray procedures in an outpatient radiology practice. The role involves obtaining patient histories, explaining procedures, addressing concerns, producing diagnostic images, and carrying out technical procedures using ionizing radiation. The technologist works under general supervision, relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals, and maintains professional relationships with colleagues and facility staff while meeting SimonMed standards.

Requirements

• Registration as a Radiography Technologist by the A.R.R.T.
• Registration as a Certified Radiologic Technologist by the state.
• Valid hands-on CPR certification.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 40 pounds, sit for prolonged periods, and frequently stand and walk.

Responsibilities

• Perform CT and X-ray procedures without constant supervision of technical details.
• Obtain patient histories, explain standard procedures, and address patient concerns.
• Produce computerized tomographic and conventional radiographs as required by departmental procedures.
• Perform technical procedures using ionizing radiation to detect pathology.
• Regulate equipment used to expose X-ray film, develop images, and document PACS imaging.
• Operate equipment safely and maintain SimonMed standards while performing call types of procedures.
• Establish and maintain professional relationships with fellow employees, other departments, and facility staff.
