About The Position

Northside Hospital is an award-winning, state-of-the-art, continually growing healthcare organization. The Wound Ostomy and Continence Nurse serves as a clinical resource and consultant to nursing staff caring for patients with ostomies, fistula tubes, dermal wounds, incontinence, and other disorders of the gastrointestinal, genitourinary, and integumentary systems. The nurse also assists with staff development, staff education, and patient education related to care.

Requirements

• BSN from an accredited school of nursing.
• Licensed as a registered nurse in the State of Georgia in good standing without limitations.
• Two years of related clinical nursing experience.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from a Northside-approved resuscitation certifying body.
• Board certification in wound and ostomy care.

Nice To Haves

• Continence certification.
• Knowledge of WOC nursing program development and teaching experience.
