About The Position
The Wound Care Tech provides and documents direct patient care under the direct supervision of a wound care clinician or provider at a hyperbaric wound care clinic in Newnan, Georgia. The role serves primarily adult through geriatric patients, with occasional infant through pediatric patients, and helps maintain a safe, comfortable, and confidential care environment. The schedule is as needed, covering random days, approximately two days per week.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association upon hire.
Nice To Haves
- Certification as a Patient Care Tech, Athletic Trainer, Certified Nursing Assistant, Paramedic, Emergency Medical Technician, or Medical Assistant.
- One year of patient care experience.
- Two years of direct patient care experience, including wound dressing and assisting with minor surgical procedures.
- Ability to perform diagnostic testing and complete checklists.
- Experience using Doppler equipment.
- Experience with billing and databases.
