About The Position

Provides safe, efficient, age-specific nursing care to patients and families using the nursing process to help them attain, maintain, regain, and sustain optimal health. The role delivers relationship-based nursing care, uses technical skills to support safe practice and positive outcomes, communicates and collaborates to optimize patient care and clinical operations, contributes to professional nursing practice, and demonstrates leadership that supports clinical and operational outcomes. The position also performs other assigned duties, complies with applicable policies and standards, and follows requirements for protecting patient health information. Department-specific duties are provided during orientation.

Requirements

• Diploma in Nursing or an Associate's Degree in Nursing (ADN).
• Knowledge of the nursing process and nursing practice.
• Ability to use a wide variety of technical equipment to meet patient needs and prescribed clinical therapies, including stethoscopes, thermometers, sphygmomanometers, and electronic monitoring devices.
• Registered Nurse (RN) license in Ohio and/or a Multi State Compact License, required upon hire.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, required upon hire.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN).
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) may be required depending on the clinical care standards of the unit.
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) may be required depending on the clinical care standards of the unit.
