Wound Care Physician - Macon, MO
About The Position
National Wound Physician Group is hiring a Wound Care Physician to provide bedside wound management in skilled nursing facilities and long-term acute care hospitals. Physicians conduct weekly wound rounds at each facility and typically visit 2–3 facilities per day, treating approximately 20–30 patients. The mobile practice covers facilities within a 40–60 mile radius of the practice location. Clinical documentation is completed in real time at the point of care using a proprietary wound-specific EMR. The position offers full-time and part-time schedules. Full-time physicians work 4–5 days per week, Monday through Friday, with the listed schedule of 7 a.m. to 4 p.m.; part-time physicians work a minimum of 3 days per week. There are no night, call, or weekend clinical responsibilities. Paid onboarding training and a six-month wound care fellowship are provided. The role is a W-2 employment contract, and work visa sponsorship is not available.
Requirements
- Active, full, and unrestricted MD or DO medical license in the state where the physician wishes to practice.
- Minimum commitment of 3 weekdays per week, Monday through Friday.
