Requirements
- RN or LPN License
Responsibilities
- Weekly measurement, assessment and documentation of current wounds.
- Measurement, assessment and obtaining orders for newly acquired wounds in facility or on admission.
- Updating treatment orders to accommodate wound changes.
- Updating weekly report with new measurements and interventions to be sent to cooperate, admin and physicians.
- Updating care plans and providing interventions in the treatment and prevention of pressure injury/wounds.
- Collaborating with wound doctor and wound care consultant to establish orders and obtain wound care supplies.
- Ordering of wound care supplies.
- Providing education to residents and staff on wound care and the prevention of wounds.
- Obtaining lab as necessary.
- Obtaining and implementing of interventions such as LAL mattress, ROHO cushion etc.
- Overseeing pharmaceutical and nutritional supplementation.
- Taking on call one day per week and one weekend per month.
