About The Position

Aviata at Jacksonville is seeking a Wound Care Nurse (RN or LPN) to join its patient- and family-focused community. The role supports wound-care services and program development while working with nursing staff, physicians, and the interdisciplinary team to promote resident care and wound healing. The nurse also contributes to staff development, education, regulatory compliance, and improvements to care systems and processes.

Requirements

Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
Current Wound Care and CPR certifications.
At least one year of wound care experience.
Current, unencumbered, active license to practice as an RN or LPN in the state of practice.
Must be qualified, compassionate, and dedicated to a job well done.

Nice To Haves

Two years of wound care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Act as a liaison between the Wound Specialist Physician and nursing staff.
Participate in developing and achieving Wound Care Program objectives.
Perform staff development functions and responsibilities.
Provide educational programming.
Assist with implementing policies, procedures, and standards of practice, and monitor compliance with corporate and external regulatory guidelines.
Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to address all aspects of care that promote wound healing.
Provide direct resident care, including assessment, treatment, and follow-up for wound management as ordered by the physician.
Assist in implementing individualized treatment plans for assigned residents.
Maintain ongoing communication with physicians concerning resident care.
Assist surveyors and inspectors with regulatory compliance as directed by the Director of Clinical Services.
Develop and implement ideas and concepts that improve systems and processes and support superior results.
