About The Position

Fulfill the overall ministry of Grace Adventures and implement the mission of summer camps and guest groups by leading and supporting the members of the worship team in facilitating worship experiences and in their other duties. This role involves running camp, guest group, and Community Worship programs with excellence, staying spiritually and physically fit to minister, and overseeing, encouraging, and providing feedback and accountability to other staff as part of the summer leadership team. The position requires maintaining a vital, growing, personal relationship with Jesus Christ and leading the worship team in planning and preparing age and environment-appropriate set lists, leading rehearsals, and teaching necessary skills. The lead will also model full engagement in musicianship, plan and prepare media elements, understand the technology and systems for worship, and assist in maintaining audiovisual equipment. Additionally, the role involves obeying and enforcing camp rules, running activity sites according to Grace procedures (including Target Sports, Waterfront, High Adventure, and Outdoor Activities), attending staff meetings, assisting with housekeeping, supporting Community Worship, and performing other duties as assigned by supervisors.

Requirements

Have a personal, growing relationship with Jesus Christ
Love for kids and adults and the ability to communicate with them
Good health and stamina as required to implement a summer camp program. This will involve long hours and lifting at times.
Ability to work in various weather climates and conditions.
Willing and teachable attitude
Musical talent and experience playing with and leading teams in worship
Team-based mindset
Minimum age 18 years old
High School Diploma or equivalent
Valid Driver's License

Nice To Haves

Lifeguard Certification (training provided)
21 or older preferred
Valid Driver's License (preferred, but not required)

Responsibilities

Help run camp, guest group, and Community Worship programs with excellence
Complete staff training and follow all camp policies
Stay spiritually and physically fit to minister
Become familiar with campus staff, facilities, and grounds
Oversee, encourage, and provide feedback and accountability to other staff as part of the summer leadership team
Maintain a vital, growing, personal relationship with Jesus Christ
Lead and support the members of the worship team as you collectively facilitate worship experience for campers entering 2nd - 12th grades, staff, and families in a variety of indoor and outdoor environments typically multiple times per day
Plan and prepare age and environment appropriate set lists
Lead rehearsals
Teach and equip the worship team in necessary skills and understanding
Model full engagement in all aspects of being a member of the worship team
Strive for excellence in your musicianship
Plan and prepare media elements
Understand the technology and systems that allow worship to happen in our various spaces
Assist in maintaining the audiovisual equipment associated with the worship spaces
Obey and enforce all camp rules and policies
Run activity sites according to Grace procedures including (but not limited to): Target Sports: Slingshots, archery, BB guns, 22's, shotguns, laser tag, etc... Waterfront: Canoes & kayaks, swimming, blobbing, etc... High Adventure: Climbing tower, ropes course, zipline, etc... Outdoor Activities: Biking, group games, etc...
Cooperatives and Teambuilding
Attend all staff meetings
Assist with housekeeping: cleaning showers, bathrooms, and buildings to meet standards of excellence
Support Community Worship as assigned
Other duties as assigned by your supervisor(s)
