The Department of World Languages offers courses in eight languages: American Sign Language, Chinese, French, German, Italian, Japanese, Korean, and Spanish. Our programs include majors in French and Spanish; minors in French, Japanese, and Spanish; certificates in Spanish Translation and Translation Studies; and digital badges in American Sign Language and Professional Spanish Competency. Our teaching team consists of approximately fifteen full-time faculty members and several affiliate instructors across languages. Courses are closely aligned with ACTFL national standards and recommended teaching practices, as well as with MSU Denver’s strategic goals.
