About The Position

Flourish Schools is hiring one Workshop Host to run student discovery workshops and parent open houses at host sites across the greater Phoenix Valley, including Apache Junction, Mesa, Chandler, Gilbert, Buckeye, and Maricopa. The role introduces families to Flourish Schools, a private school network built around project-based learning and student ownership. This is not a teaching position: the host follows a provided workshop playbook rather than writing lessons or grading work.

Workshops cover themes such as culinary arts, forensic science, and structural engineering. Each event includes 60 to 90 minutes with children followed by a 30-minute session with parents. The host is responsible for making the experience engaging and welcoming for children and families, and for explaining Flourish to parents. The role pays $30 per hour and is ongoing, beginning with early-fall workshops and continuing through open houses starting in late October.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree.
• Experience leading groups of children, such as as a camp counselor, youth ministry leader, coach, tutor, or after-school program leader.
• Reliable transportation and willingness to drive across the Valley, including between sites that may be over an hour apart.
• Availability for evening events starting at 6 p.m. and weekend events in the morning and afternoon.

Responsibilities

• Follow the workshop plan closely and deliver it with energy.
• Buy workshop supplies, arrive early, and prepare the space before participants arrive.
• Coordinate setup, timing, and logistics with each host site's coordinator.
• Greet parents and welcome families.
• Tell parents what Flourish is and why it is worth learning more about.
• Share brief updates with the Flourish team after each event.
