We are looking for a dynamic and proactive individual with exceptional interpersonal skills to join our Workplace Services team at Box's office in Chicago. In this role, you will collaborate closely with our Office Manager who oversees the coordination, maintenance, and daily operations of our office spaces. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in facility management, business administration or relevant work experience.
  • Minimum 1+ year of experience, ideally with a combination of office/facilities management, administrative work, and event planning.
  • A willingness to be self-directed, with a knack for problem solving and finding inefficiencies - anticipate potential problems, and drive toward solutions.
  • A "roll up your sleeves" and get things done attitude - no task too big or too small!
  • A proven ability to juggle multiple deadlines and projects; must be highly organized.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary front desk point of contact Monday through Friday, managing employee, guest, vendor, and customer inquiries while delivering a professional and welcoming office experience.
  • Assist with office operations including mail services, shipping and receiving, deliveries, stocking and maintaining organized, clean, and presentation-ready office spaces.
  • Collaborate with Physical Security and building management teams to address workplace issues, escalate concerns appropriately, and maintain operational efficiency.
  • Coordinate and support workplace events, vendor operations, and global team initiatives to enhance employee experience and office culture.
  • Create and distribute internal communications such as Slack updates, to keep employees informed and engaged.
  • Welcome new hires by conducting office tours, introducing workplace amenities, and fostering a strong sense of community and belonging.
  • Act as a culture ambassador by promoting company values, supporting employee engagement initiatives, and contributing to a positive workplace environment.
