About The Position

As a Workplace Relations Specialist reporting to the Director, Workplace Relations and Compliance, you will play a key role in fostering a cooperative, inclusive and high-performing workplace culture while ensuring the University meets its industrial, legislative and employment obligations. You will provide expert advice on complex employee and industrial relations matters, lead case management activities, and contribute to projects that enhance employee relations outcomes across the University.

Requirements

Relevant tertiary qualifications in employment relations, industrial relations, human resources or a related discipline, with higher education experience desirable.
Extensive experience in employee and industrial relations within a complex organisational environment.
Strong knowledge of employment law, industrial relations frameworks and enterprise agreement development and implementation.
Demonstrated experience managing complex workplace matters with sound judgement, discretion and confidentiality.
Excellent communication, negotiation and stakeholder engagement skills, including policy development and advisory experience.
Strong analytical, problem-solving and relationship-building capabilities.
Australian Citizens and Permanent Residents; or applicants who hold a current valid work visa commensurate with this position.
