The working lead position has been created to provide shift support in the areas of quality and productivity improvement. This is a “hands on” position with key responsibilities including providing training on fundamentals for manufacturing associates to improve workmanship and productivity, cross-training associates to support cell development and improve throughput, identifying opportunities for methods and documentation improvement and training associates on new procedures, performing workmanship audits to verify training effectiveness and compliance to procedure, being a champion for scrap and rework related issues, and interfacing with manufacturing, quality, and engineering as required to ensure implementation of effective solutions. The role also involves assisting with administrative duties such as production schedule updates, time card review, and training documentation, assisting supervision in maintaining proper product flow, and assisting and supporting the 6S program. Other duties may be assigned by the department manager or supervisor.
