About The Position

The Wax Dresser must be able to perform all operations and operate equipment in a safe and efficiently in dressing and blending of wax patterns. Production of high quantity /quality parts is required with daily production quota established. This role involves working with glue, nail polishes, car wax, china marker propane torches, hot needle, hot plate, exacto knives, and dental tools. The incumbent must handle hazardous waste in accordance with the Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS) and company policy. They will inspect, dress, book and blend wax patterns per procedures, meet efficiency standards, and record daily work performed using the manufacturing computer system. The role also includes obtaining supplies, using waxes and lubricants, and being responsible for quality through visual inspection and gauging. Maintaining a clean and orderly work area and observing all safety rules are also key responsibilities.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 1 year experience as an operator in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience with misc. hand tools, tables, racks, boxes, safety guidelines, feeds, grinders, inspection tools, etc.
  • Ability to handle hazardous waste in accordance with MSDS and company policy.
  • Ability to inspect, dress, book and blend wax patterns per procedures.
  • Ability to meet efficiency standards.
  • Ability to record daily work performed and time distribution using the manufacturing computer system.
  • Ability to obtain supplies and use waxes and lubricants as required.
  • Ability to perform quality checks through visual inspection and gauging.
  • Ability to maintain a clean and orderly work area.
  • Ability to observe all safety rules, practices, policies, and procedures.
  • Ability to handle high stress associated with high activity with tight deadlines.
  • Must pass Jaeger vision test.
  • Good vision and hand-eye coordination (inserting small pins into wax pattern).

Nice To Haves

  • Previous casting experience is a plus.
  • A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred, and may be substituted by experience.
