About The Position

This role is for a Working Leadperson on the 2nd Shift at Timken Aerospace in Keene, NH. The position is full-time and involves assisting the lead and supervisor with schedule attainment, providing direction and assistance to employees, and leading, mentoring, and training as applicable. The individual will promote company policy, ensure quality standards are met, and achieve work schedules efficiently while seeking cost reductions and departmental improvements. This role requires technical knowledge to interact with service departments, customers, and vendors, and involves tracking, maintaining, and ordering supplies. A general understanding of technician or expert level responsibilities within the functional area is necessary, including resolving tooling, gaging, print, or other issues, maintaining operational quality standards, reporting operating difficulties, and complying with process documentation. The role may also involve generating and handling regulated waste in accordance with federal/state regulations.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent required
  • Industrial mathematics (i.e. ability to add, subtract, decimals).
  • Ability to read blueprints and or read, write, and interpret technical information.
  • Geometric dimensioning and tolerance.
  • Ability to work in a team along with strong leadership skills including ability to train and mentor.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to use and setup various measuring devices or gages.
  • Good computer skills.
  • Good attention to detail and organizational skills.

Nice To Haves

  • 1-5 years manufacturing experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Assist the lead and supervisor with schedule attainment.
  • Provide direction and assistance to employees in your functional area.
  • Lead, mentor, and train as applicable.
  • Promote company policy, ensure that quality standards are met, achieve work schedules by most efficient use of people and equipment while continually seeking ways to reduce cost and improve department efficiency.
  • Track, maintain and order supplies that support your area of responsibility.
  • Assist in resolving tooling, gaging, print or other applicable issues as they arise.
  • Maintain operational quality standards.
  • Report all operating difficulties to the appropriate supervisor.
  • Maintain and comply with process documentation.
  • Generate and/or handle regulated (i.e. hazardous/non-hazardous) waste as part of this job and dispose of it in accordance with federal/state regulations.
