Novartis•East Hanover, NJ
•$204,400 - $379,600•Hybrid

About The Position

Lead Novartis’s enterprise people and organization agenda for Data Science and Artificial Intelligence (DSAI), translating the DSAI ambition into workforce, organization, talent and capability choices. Partner with senior DSAI leaders and stakeholders across the enterprise to build, attract and grow critical DSAI talent, strengthen the external value proposition, and enable responsible human-AI collaboration. Lead the enterprise DSAI OTR, including discussions at ECN level, and create standards, governance and frameworks for careers, capabilities, talent and rewards, particularly in areas where established approaches do not yet exist. The enterprise role complements the Workforce Strategy Leads supporting DSAI teams within their units. Unit-level accountabilities remain unchanged; this role connects across units by providing overarching DSAI people strategy, standards and governance, and enabling enterprise-level choices where needed. The role can be based in Cambridge, East Hanover, London or Basel, and is hybrid. The position sets enterprise strategy and shapes workforce and capability choices using scenarios, analytics, external insight and data storytelling. It leads enterprise talent review and presents implications and recommendations to ECN; establishes career development, mobility, succession and talent-allocation approaches; builds the external DSAI talent brand and early-talent pipeline; and develops enterprise standards, governance and operating approaches. The role also defines enterprise-unit decision rights and interfaces, influences senior stakeholders across functions and units, guides work redesign for responsible human-AI collaboration, and coaches leaders through transformation and organizational change.
