About The Position

The Workforce Development Pharmacy Technician Instructor delivers training that prepares students for entry-level roles in pharmacy settings. This role provides instruction in pharmacy principles, medication safety, and regulations, while supporting student success and readiness for certification and employment.

Requirements

  • Associates degree and or combination of experience and education
  • Valid Driver's License (Standard)
  • Must obtain PA State Board of Pharmacy registration by June 28, 2026
  • Comply with PA Act 15
  • Present completed clearances and training certificates at the time of hire
  • Provide own technology equipment: computer (Windows, Linux, or Macintosh desktop or laptop) with current web browser installed
  • Access to broadband internet connection at all times during employment
  • Equipment which enables synchronous communication (USB Headset, speaker and microphone, captioning services, adaptive technology, assistive devices, etc.)

Responsibilities

  • Deliver instruction for the Pharmacy Technician program in alignment with curriculum and industry standards
  • Prepare lesson plans, instructional materials, and assessments
  • Teach pharmacy fundamentals, calculations, medication safety, and regulations
  • Monitor student progress and provide feedback and academic support
  • Maintain accurate attendance, grades, and program records
  • Ensure compliance with Pennsylvania Board of Pharmacy requirements and program guidelines
  • Support students in preparation for certification exams (e.g., PTCB)
  • Maintain a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environment
  • Collaborate with Workforce Development staff and participate in program improvement initiatives
  • Other duties as assigned
