About The Position

The Workforce Development Trainer will be responsible for designing, developing, and delivering training programs to enhance the skills and knowledge of Primoris Energy Services employees in Hubbard, TX. This role focuses on improving workforce capabilities and ensuring alignment with company goals and industry best practices.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Education, Human Resources, Organizational Development, or a related field. Relevant industry experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in designing and delivering workforce development or technical training programs, preferably within the energy, construction, or industrial services sectors.
  • Proven ability to create engaging and effective training content for diverse audiences.
  • Strong presentation, facilitation, and public speaking skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and experience with learning management systems (LMS) or e-learning authoring tools.
  • Ability to travel to various job sites within the Hubbard, TX area as needed.
  • Strong understanding of adult learning principles and instructional design methodologies.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

  • Familiarity with safety regulations and compliance standards relevant to the energy industry is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct training needs assessments to identify skill gaps and development opportunities within Primoris Energy Services.
  • Design and develop comprehensive training materials, including presentations, manuals, job aids, and interactive exercises, tailored to various learning styles.
  • Deliver engaging and effective training sessions covering a range of topics pertinent to energy services, such as safety protocols, technical skills, equipment operation, compliance, and professional development.
  • Utilize various instructional techniques and formats, including classroom instruction, hands-on workshops, online modules, and on-the-job training.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of training programs through assessments, feedback, and performance metrics, and make necessary adjustments for continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts, supervisors, and management to ensure training content is accurate, relevant, and meets operational requirements.
  • Maintain accurate records of training attendance, completion, and certifications.
  • Stay current with industry trends, regulations, and best practices in workforce development and the energy sector.
  • Provide coaching and mentoring to employees to support their professional growth.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of new employee onboarding programs.
