About The Position

We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Lead Project Controls Scheduler to join our Primoris Energy Services team in Hubbard, TX. This role will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and analyzing project schedules for complex energy infrastructure projects, ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Project Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in project scheduling, with a significant portion in the energy or heavy industrial construction sector.
  • Advanced proficiency in Primavera P6 scheduling software is mandatory.
  • Strong understanding of project management principles, methodologies, and best practices.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop, maintain, and analyze complex project schedules for large-scale capital projects.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
  • Strong communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with diverse project teams.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience with earned value management (EVM) principles and applications.
  • Must be able to work on-site in Hubbard, TX.

  • PMP or PMI-SP certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain comprehensive project schedules using Primavera P6, incorporating all project phases from engineering and procurement to construction and commissioning.
  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, procurement specialists, and construction teams to gather project data, define scopes of work, and establish critical path activities.
  • Perform critical path analysis, identify potential schedule conflicts, and recommend mitigation strategies to project leadership.
  • Monitor project progress against established baselines, identify variances, and prepare detailed schedule updates and reports.
  • Conduct "what-if" scenario analysis to assess the impact of changes, risks, and opportunities on project timelines.
  • Develop and implement earned value management (EVM) systems to track project performance and forecast completion dates.
  • Prepare and present schedule performance reports to internal stakeholders and clients.
  • Lead and mentor junior schedulers, providing guidance and support in best practices for project scheduling.
  • Ensure compliance with project control procedures, company standards, and client requirements.
  • Participate in project reviews, meetings, and risk assessment sessions.
