About The Position

This position provides comprehensive administrative, technical, and program coordination support for the Workforce Development Office and grant-funded workforce initiatives, including the Training for Residential Energy Contractors (TREC) program. The role supports workforce development staff, faculty and instructors, non-credit adult learners, and external partners. Key responsibilities include program coordination, data and reporting support, budget and documentation tracking, student and instructor services, and compliance with college, system, state, and federal requirements. This position reports to the Workforce Development Manager, and will be functionally supervised by the Energy Training Manager. This position is supported by federal grant funding and is expected to end December 2029; continuation is contingent upon ongoing funding.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree from a recognized college or university AND two (2) years program administration, teaching/training, admissions, academic or career advising, recruitment, course development, or a related area, with responsibilities in program implementation, direct service delivery, planning or program evaluation.
  • OR Associate’s degree from a recognized college or university AND four (4) years program administration, teaching/training, admissions, academic or career advising, recruitment, course development, or a related area, with responsibilities in program implementation, direct service delivery, planning or program evaluation.
  • Valid driver’s license or access to transportation.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience supporting workforce development or non-credit adult education programs.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications; experience with Canva and Constant Contact preferred.
  • Familiarity with higher education systems such as Banner SCT, TargetX, or similar platforms.
  • Experience supporting faculty onboarding, contracts, payroll documentation, or human resources processes.
  • Experience supporting grant-funded programs and basic data reporting.
  • Knowledge of academic and workforce operations within higher education.
  • Ability to work independently with accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Knowledge of modern office practices, procedures, record-keeping, and reporting.
  • Ability to compile, analyze, and summarize data.
  • Ability to exercise sound judgment and manage competing priorities.
  • Strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills, with the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, students, and external partners.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally to training or recruitment locations in New Hampshire.
  • Must be willing to maintain an appearance appropriate to assigned duties and responsibilities as determined by the college appointing authority.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with Workforce Development staff to build, support, and maintain workforce trainings and workshops, including grant-funded programs such as TREC.
  • Provide administrative and coordination support for the TREC program serving non-credit adult learners in residential energy efficiency, electrification, HVAC, and heat pump training.
  • Coordinate training logistics, including schedules, locations, instructors, instructional materials, supplies, equipment, instructional technology, and online resources under the direction of program leads.
  • Maintain relationships with workforce, industry, energy efficiency, electrical, HVAC, and community partners to support student recruitment and training delivery.
  • Support relationship management with employers, industry partners, and community organizations to facilitate program delivery and student placement opportunities.
  • Assist with marketing communications and outreach efforts for Workforce Development and grant-funded programs.
  • In collaboration with other LRCC offices, provide onboarding, registration, retention, and student support services for non-credit adult learners.
  • Coordinate tuition incentives, completion requirements, and related student documentation.
  • Issue digital badges through the Badgr platform and completion of certificates for Workforce Development, LNA, Medical Assistant Training, and other applicable programs.
  • Coordinate and distribute student evaluations in collaboration with internal and external partners.
  • Create, maintain, and compile data and reports to support Workforce Development, Academic & Student Affairs, and grant reporting requirements.
  • Assist with tracking program budgets, expenditures, and documentation to support grant compliance and audit readiness.
  • Update program information on the NH Works website for WIOA-eligible programs.
  • Maintain and update contact lists for workforce development staff, instructors, vendors, business and community partners, and external stakeholders.
  • Distribute workforce-related policies, procedures, contracts, and institutional communications.
  • Support workforce initiatives and community engagement activities.
  • Participate in campus committees and college initiatives as assigned.
  • Complies with all college, system, state and federal rules and regulations.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
