About The Position

U.S. VETS, the nation's largest nonprofit dedicated to preventing and ending veteran homelessness, is seeking a Workforce Development Coordinator to lead employment services and career readiness programming for veterans in Las Vegas. This is an opportunity for a motivated leader who can support veterans facing barriers to employment while building strong partnerships with employers and community organizations. As the Workforce Development Coordinator, you will oversee the daily operations of the Workforce Development program and Career Center. You will supervise staff, provide career-focused case management, and create employment opportunities that help veterans move toward long-term self-sufficiency. You’ll serve as both a leader and connector—guiding veterans through employment planning while strengthening relationships with employers and workforce partners throughout the community.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, Social Services, or related field preferred or 4+ years of relevant experience in workforce development or employment services
  • Minimum of 2 years of supervisory experience
  • Experience in workforce development, career services, recruiting, or job placement
  • Strong understanding of labor market trends and employment resources
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and data tracking systems
  • Valid driver’s license required and ability to meet insurance requirements

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working with veterans or individuals facing barriers to employment
  • Experience in employer outreach, recruiting, or business development
  • Knowledge of Department of Labor or workforce-funded programs preferred

Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily Workforce Development operations and supervise staff
  • Provide career coaching and employment-focused case management
  • Help veterans identify career goals and pathways to employment
  • Create and maintain relationships with employers, recruiters, and community organizations
  • Identify employment opportunities through outreach, networking, and employer engagement
  • Lead job readiness trainings, job clubs, and workforce development activities
  • Connect veterans with employment opportunities and support job placement efforts
  • Maintain accurate documentation, reporting, and compliance requirements
  • Utilize labor market information to support career planning and program development
  • Deliver presentations and participate in workforce and community engagement events
