About The Position

This position assesses applicants to determine eligibility for enrollment in job training or referral to employers. The Workforce Consultant enrolls clients, assists them in setting employment goals, and develops individual training plans. They refer clients to potential job openings, recruit eligible individuals for training programs and/or employers, and counsel clients to determine employment, training, educational, and related services. The role involves surveying and researching area jobs, trainings, and educational services, and maintaining listings of current employment openings. Additionally, the consultant assists employers in developing job openings appropriate for clients and advises them of CC Idaho assistance programs. They monitor trainees on-site in training and apprenticeship employment programs, provide referral services to clients regarding available community services, and may be assigned to work with youth programs. Responsibilities include preparing records, documents, files, reports, and databases, and being proficient in Microsoft Office applications. The role requires the ability to multitask, meet deadlines, and remain calm and professional under pressure, along with knowledge of training programs and resources. Maintaining confidentiality of CC Idaho clients and records, and performing all work duties in accordance with CC Idaho policies, procedures, and safety practices are essential.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Six months to one-year experience in workforce preparation
  • Ability to read, speak, and write in both English/Spanish in a business setting.
  • Ability to operate standard office equipment and be proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Current driver's license and proof of auto insurance
  • Must pass a background check.
