Workforce Architect Principal

FIS Global•New York, NY
•$156,060 - $265,300

About The Position

The Workforce Architect Principal is the senior owner of workforce translation at FIS. The role helps functions examine and rethink their work through structured discovery and future-state design, then translates agreed or emerging future states into implications for roles, skills, capabilities, capacity, workforce shape and structure. The position advises leaders on resulting workforce decisions while functions retain ownership of their work and business decisions, and Product and Technology own the enabling solution. During early pilots, the role may directly undertake elements of redesign while the enterprise method is established. It calls for product and technology experience, AI fluency, design thinking and executive influence. The role develops evidence-based workforce scenarios, options and recommendations; surfaces workforce implications early enough to influence design and investment; and facilitates decisions about work to eliminate, simplify, automate, augment with AI, enable through agents or retain for human expertise. It helps build human-in-the-loop checkpoints into future-state work and reflects these in decision rights, role design and performance measures. The position identifies implications for job architecture, learning, talent and workforce planning, and hands agreed actions to Business Partners and specialist TPO teams for execution. The Workforce Architect Principal partners with functions, Product, Technology, Risk, Change Managers, Business Partners and specialist TPO teams, contributing workforce and human-in-the-loop requirements to enabling solutions. The role uses AI to explore options, challenge assumptions and develop workforce scenarios and executive decision papers, while validating evidence, logic, trade-offs and recommendations through accountable human review. It remains connected through implementation to test assumptions, protect workforce intent and learn from outcomes. The role also builds and scales the enterprise workforce-translation methodology, evidence standards, tools, patterns and playbooks, and mentors and directs Workforce Architect and Analyst Leads.
