Workers' Compensation Paralegal
About The Position
A busy Charleston-area law firm is seeking a paralegal with at least one year of experience in South Carolina workers' compensation case management. The role involves managing a caseload of 60 or more workers' compensation cases and daily contact with clients. Defense workers' compensation paralegals are encouraged to apply if they have prior claimant-side experience. The paralegal will handle case calendars, prepare legal correspondence and briefs, collect medical records and bills, and arrange independent medical examinations (IMEs). The position requires strong computer skills, attention to detail, and a professional demeanor and appearance.
Requirements
- At least one year of experience in South Carolina workers' compensation case management.
- Excellent skills in Microsoft Office.
- Previous experience with case management software.
